Fast, simple and reliable quality controls on olive oil at the mill without the support of skilled staff
Are you the owner of an oil mill or a farming enterprise that produces and sells oil? Are you a bottling company? We have the most appropriate analysis system for your business that you can use for quality control directly at the mill or during the bottling phase.
CDR OxiTester: the fast, simple and reliable olive oil testing system that allows performing quality controls at any phase of the production process.
CDR OxiTester is a self-contained apparatus and can be used anywhere, either at the oil mill, or in the oil processing plants, or at the time of purchase. Fast and intuitive, it provides results that are in line with the reference methods.
What you can analyze
CDR OxiTester for Olive Oil can determine:
- Acidity (Free Fatty Acids) in 1 minute
- Peroxide Values in 4 minutes
- Polyphenols in 6 minutes
- Oxidative Stability Index in 6 minutes
- K 270 in 6 minutes
Samples do not require to be prepared. The instrument does not require calibration. Low toxicity reagents remove the need to handle toxic or carcinogenic substances.
How it can help you to perform analyses on olive oilo
Simple methods will save your time
CDR OxiTester exploits analytical procedures and dedicated reagents specifically developed by the research laboratories of CDR for chemical analyses on olive oil. The procedures are easier and faster than traditional methods. Anyone can perform the tests even directly at the oil mill or on the production line.
- Reagents are pre-vialed and ready to use. Their low toxicity removes the need to handle toxic or carcinogenic compounds
- No sample preparation is required
- There is no need to wash either containers or traditional glassware.
Moreover, CDR OxiTester reduces testing time as it allows performing several analyses at the same time on the same sample or sixteen different assays for the same parameter on a batch of different samples. All of this following a simple and fast procedure.
A true testing laboratory for chemical analyses on olive oil that comes in a complete, intuitive and reliable equipment
CDR OxiTester is a true analysis laboratory for olive oil. We have developed it to perform easy and fast chemical analyses directly at the oil mill, or on the bottling line, or at the time of purchase without the support of personnel with specific lab tech experience.
CDR OxiTester fine tunes traditional testing methods, making them faster and easier, while guaranteeing accuracy standards in line with the ISO reference methods.
Compact and handy, it is composed of:
- an analyzer based on photometric technology equipped with state-of-the-art LED emitters, available in 2 versions.
- a kit of pre-vialed and ready-to-use low toxicity reagents, specifically developed by our research laboratory to fine tune analytical methods and avoid any contact with toxic or carcinogenic substances
- pipettes that allow for the collection of the correct volume of sample.
Our device comes from a family of fast and reliable testing systems that we have developed and manufactured to perform food and beverage quality controls during the production process.
The ‘help’ function makes your tests easier
The system is reliable, fast and intuitive. It is so simple to use that anyone can run a test in total autonomy as if they were skilled personnel. Just a few steps suffice to perform the analyses and, if there is ever a doubt, the HELP function will lead you through the process by displaying detailed instructions. A reliable testing instrument employed by the University of Athens
In a study published in the Journal of AOAC International Vol. 91, No. 4, 2008, the photometric method exploited by CDR OxiTester to determine polyphenols/olive oil oxidative stability index was validated and compared with the Rancimat method.
Said study was carried out by Minerva S.A. and N. Asteriadis S.A. in partnership with the University of Athens and gives evidence that the easy and fast CDR OxiTester method to assay polyphenols/stability index is a valid alternative to the Rancimat method.
